The first thing Chance Patterson asked about after his car accident was, "Are my dogs okay?". He didn't care about anything else, just as long as his dogs that were in the car with him were safe.
When rescuers got to the scene of the accident they saw that Chance's German shepherd, Carlitos, had passed away. But, Chance's other dog Izzy, a pit bull, was no where to be found. Chance suffered multiple injuries and it was confirmed that he was hit by a drunk driver. He had to stay in the hospital for a few weeks, unable to know if Izzy was alive or dead. So the community rallied together to search for Izzy.
Days later, Izzy was spotted around the area of the accident but would run away every time someone got near her. Then someone from Izzy's dog daycare got the idea to try and find her. And it worked! As soon as Izzy saw a familiar face, she ran right up to greet her. In this video, the precious reunion between Chance and Izzy is captured.
The moment is absolutely beautiful! I'm so grateful Chance and Izzy are both alive and recovering well. Praise God!
