This scraggly spruce tree was put up as the city Christmas tree and it got national attention. But after much argument the tree remained standing through Christmas. But now Christmas is over and the tree was supposed to be turned into mulch. The idea of sticking this iconic tree through the chipper broke Luke's heart. So instead he turned it into something beautiful, a bench. To remind us all what 'beauty' really means!
