Navy divers in Sri Lanka rushed to the scene when they heard an elephant was caught in the ocean current. The strong current swept the elephant out to see quickly. And you could see it was having trouble keeping it's head and trunk above water.
The rescue on camera was very intense and it kept me nervous for the poor animal until the end. The rescue took multiple boats and divers and over 12 hours to get the elephant to safety and back on land.
I'm so grateful this navy team didn't give up on such a sweet animal. Thank the Lord!
