During a 10k race runner Jesse Orach suddenly collapsed from heat stroke. Jesse was leading the race and collapsed only 100 yards from the finish line.
Robert Gomez, Jesse's top competitor, was running right behind him at the time. Instead of sliding into first place and winning the race, Robert helped Jesse up and they both ran to the finish line together.
Jesse ended up winning the race despite the set back. Robert stepped in to help because he knew it was the right thing to do. He also knew that Jesse deserved to win the race.
What an amazing act of kindness. Robert will forever be remembered for the selfless way he helped Jesse. Praise the Lord Jesse is alright.
