19-year-old Georgia Mott and her roommate, Taittyn Fischer were faced with a serious issue when Hurricane Irma was about to hit landfall. They both own horses and had no idea how to keep them out of harms way.
The girls did some quick thinking and figured out they could house the horses, Goose and Dixie, in their own home. They had enough space in their laundry room that could potentially become a makeshift horse stall. Georgia and Taittyn went to work filling the room with feed, bedding, and all the essentials both horses needed.
The horses spent the weekend riding out the storm safe inside thanks to these smart girls. What a thoughtful idea! I'm so glad both horses are safe and sound.
