Denny Preston worked tirelessly for the Coon Rapids Police Department for years. Denny is now retired and has been fighting cancer. Sadly he is losing that battle and wanted to spend his last days at home in hospice care so he could be comfortable. To honor this hero the local police department gave Denny a police escort from the hospital. But it was the line up of officers there to salute him that really got the tears flowing. "My dad worked for Coon Rapids Police Department for 26 years and retired 16 years ago," Serna wrote on Facebook. "After a long battle with cancer, he made the decision to go home for hospice care for his final few days. CRPD arranged a police escort from the hospital to his house and also had officers lined up to greet him."
