Sargeant Paul Tuozzolo, a police officer with the 43rd Precinct of the NYPD, passed away in the line of duty last year. Paul was a light to his community and loved by so many family and friends. Paul's son Austin is crossing a big milestone this year by starting kindergarten.
Since Austin's father cannot be there to send him off, a bunch of officers from Paul's police department showed up to send off Austin to his very first day of kindergarten. This kind gesture for Austin speaks volumes about how beloved Paul was.
I'm so grateful these officers took time out of their busy schedules to give this young boy encouragement on his big day! What an unforgettable day!
