Emily Eekhoff was 33 weeks pregnant and she was using a pregnancy app on her phone called "Count for Kicks" to monitor her unborn baby girl's kicks and movements. That's when she noticed that something in the kick pattern did not seem right.
She decided to have herself checked out at the hospital, and that's when doctor's told her that her baby girl's umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck and Emily would need an emergency c-section.
Thankfully, her baby girl was delivered without complication and Emily is giving thanks to the creators of this phone app that helped saved her child's life. Praise the Lord this story had a happy ending!
