Alzheimer's is a such a tough disease for both the person and their family. The disease is incredibly hard for anyone to cope with. Leo Balderaz was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease about a year ago.
Since the diagnosis, Leo has begun to lose interest in things he once loved. For instance, Leo used to love to dance but now sees no point in it. But, on his wife's 80th birthday he did something amazing. The family wanted to see if they could get him to dance with his wife so hey turned on his favorite song and helped him to his feet.
Their hope was that this would trigger a memory of dancing. And it worked! Leo was able to slow dance with his wife. The heartfelt moment was all caught on video by one of their family members. What an amazing memory that the whole family can cherish for years to come!
