The Cureton family came down to South Carolina to spend the 4th of July at May River. Their vacation was going great until the fireworks started going off. The fireworks must have startled their beloved 10-Month-Old Australian Sheppard, Chelsea and she ran off. As soon as they realized Chelsea was missing, the family printed up 800 flyers and passed them around to everyone in the area.
The last flyer they passed out was to a man named Trip Sloan. Trip was getting ready to take his boat out on the river at the time. Trip says,“Instead of taking the shortcut to Dafuskie, just a higher power had me go in a different direction and so we came up the May River and took a right into Bull Creek,” Trip said, “And over to the left out of my peripheral vision I saw an object… something in the water.”. Low and behold, it was Chelsea, still swimming around trying to find her family.
From the looks of it, it seemed that Chelsea had been swimming for two whole days straight. Trip immediately called the number on the flyer and safely returned Chelsea to her family. God clearly lead Trip to drive his boat in the direction he did. Praise the Lord that Chelsea is okay! What a miracle!
