Last year, the Smith family from Trenton, New Jersey won 284 million dollars in the state lottery. Before they even cashed in the money, they were already thinking up ways to serve others with the money they were blessed with.
They have decided to start a foundation for the community. The family shared that they have always had ideas to better the community they say, "God just now financed us" to give back in bigger ways. Mom, Pearly was a pastor and has always had a servants heart.
The family still owns the house they grew up in and has plans to rehab it and use it as a place for homeless people to stay. They have given back 16 million dollars so far in school supplies, business training programs, and grants for special needs children and have no plans to stop there.
