The LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs nonprofit from Illinois came to the rescue in a big way for Las Vegas. This organization provides Golden Retriever therapy dogs for people in hospitals that have been struck by tragedy.
There are currently about 23 states that have trained Comfort Dogs ready to help during crisis situations. The organization aims to fly in these dogs to help within 24 hours of the crisis. After the Las Vegas tragedy the organization knew they had to act fast. By Tuesday morning 19 comfort dogs had already arrived in Las Vegas.
The golden retrievers flew in from Illinois, Nebraska, Colorado, Arizona, California and Missouri. These dogs immediately went into the local Las Vegas hospitals to comfort each of the shooting victims. The dogs brought everyone so much joy and happiness.
In the video you can see how much these sweet pups made everyone smile. What an amazing organization!
