Jim McIngvale is known in his Texas community as Mattress Mack. He has made a name for himself selling household furniture. But now he's being recognized all over the nation for something else. Jim's kindness during Hurricane Harvey is being talked about all over the internet.
As the flood waters began to rise and many people were fleeing their homes, Jim actually opened his stores to provide food and shelter for those in need. Thanks to his kindness, hundreds of people have a roof over there head and food to eat. Jim knows that he is losing money by sheltering all these people, but he says 'We can afford that and what we can't afford is to cause these people to lose hope, we got to give hem hope.'
What a blessing to see this level of generosity during such a huge natural disaster.
