22-year-old Matthew Boylen sadly passed away in a car accident about 11 years ago. Though his death was tragic, his passing allowed Lucy Boenitz's life to be saved. Matthew's heart was donated to Lucy shortly after he died. Because of this, Lucy is now able to live a normal life.
Today, some of Matthew's family members are meeting Lucy for the very first time and are excited to hear her heart beat. Matthew's mom Donna was the most nervous about this monumental day. She was full of so many emotions. Matthew's family decided to document the whole experience on camera.
In the video, you can see Donna welling up with tears as she listens to Lucy's heart. The moment is absolutely precious. A few other family members got to listen as well. Everyone was so grateful for this opportunity to feel connected to Matthew again. What a beautiful story of how God can turn the a bad situation into a beautiful blessing!
