Chip and Joanna Gaines stopped by to visit Kathie Lee and Hoda on the Today show this morning to talk about why the cancelled their popular show 'Fixer Upper'.
Joanna began to talk about how she and Chip felt they needed to focus on their family more. She said that their oldest son Drake is getting ready to turn 13 years old and they both felt they wanted to take a step back and work less so they could be around for Drake's teenage years. Chip later went on to say that when he sat all four kids down and asked them if they wanted to continue to do the show, they gave a unanimous 'no'.
Hearing that response reaffirmed Chip and Joanna's decision to step back from filming. It speaks volumes that Chip and Joanna were willing to give up the entire show if it meant their kids would be happy. What an amazing pair of parents! We are so excited for the future God has in store for this family. God bless!
