7-year-old Elijah McDonald rang Caroline McSwain's doorbell at her childhood home to ask her a very important question. Elijah's exact words were, "Can I be your ring berry?".
Caroline couldn't understand what Elijah was saying but she hugged him anyway. Right after that, Caroline turned around and her boyfriend was down on one knee proposing to her. Caroline was overcome with pure shock and emotion that she started to cry as she said yes.
Elijah's parents have who has been Caroline's neighbors for many years and it seemed like a great idea to involve Elijah. This was a very special surprise because Caroline actually helped Elijah's dad propose to his mom when she was Elijah's age.
