3-month-old chihuahua puppy Chewy was sadly abandoned in a bathroom at an airport. Thankfully Chewy was found and taken to a rescue where he will be placed with an incredible loving family. But before you get mad at Chewy's owner you have to hear her story.
When Chewy was found there was a note with him that said this, “Hi! I’m Chewy! My owner was in an abusive relationship and couldn’t afford me to get on the flight. She didn’t want to leave me with all her heart but she has NO other option. My ex-boyfriend kicked my dog when we were fighting and he has a big knot on his head. He probably needs a vet. I love Chewy sooo much – please love and take care of him.”
Now this tiny dog is drawing attention to the heartbreaking topic of domestic violence. It breaks our hearts to know that this woman had to leave her beloved dog, but we pray that she found herself a safe place where she can start a new life.
