Leah Carroll and Emily Geyer were complete strangers until one day at the Chick-Fil-A in Chattanooga. Leah's son, Malachi, was born at just 24 weeks with special needs and he is bound to a wheelchair. It can be hard to take Malachi out in public, but one day, Leah knew he needed a break so they ventured to their local Chick Fil A.
Leah is used to people staring and the questions of kids, but she wasn't prepared for what the Lord had planned. Emily was also there, eating with her 3 children. When her sons noticed Malachi, they began to ask questions. Instead of trying to brush it off Emily did something amazing and brought her children over to meet Malachi. This is far from the usual for Leah and her son and this special moment touched her heart.
It was the moment that both of those moms needed that day. And seeing them get back together today overflowed my heart with joy. What an amazing bond!
