Samaritan's Purse is one of the very first relief missions to help Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria demolished the area. This christian non-profit flew a cargo plane with 50,000 lbs of emergency supplies down to Puerto Rico. They brought everything from backup generators to daily hygiene items.
Samaritan's Purse even invited the Today Show to come along with them to help bring awareness to the needs of the people of Puerto Rico. In the video, you can hear that the biggest issue the hurricane survivors are facing is lack of communication. All of the cell phone towers are down and people can't get a hold of each other to make sure family members are okay.
I can't even imagine what they are going through right now. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Puerto Rico during this difficult time.
