Bus driver Duane Butler noticed a young child wondering alone, he immediately stopped the bus and made sure the child was okay. This was around 6:30am and the boy clearly looked lost. Duane decided to invite the child to ride on the bus until all the stops were made, and after that Duane would figure out how to return the boy home to safety.
When the routes were completed as they were waiting for police officers to arrive, another passenger sweetly comforted the boy. It was later discovered that the boy slipped out of the house while his parents were still asleep.
Because of Duane's kindness, the little boy was reunited with his family and out of harms way. What an amazing story of looking out for your community!
