New Dad's Note To His Late Mom Is Simply Beautiful

And so, she decided to share his touching words via Twitter, where many others are having the same reaction as Courtney.

The grieving son penned the emotional letter to his late mom on her birthday. In it, he shares how things have been going since her passing.
"Happy birthday! I just wanted to tell you how much I miss you," he writes.

He continues with an update on how his family is doing. Naturally, the proud daddy starts off with how his baby boy is growing. The man even included his son's precious footprint on the back of the note!
"We're doing really good. Nelson's started walking and getting into trouble. He's a little stinker :) but we love him. He such a joy to be around. Kara is doing good as well. She is such a great example for me and I hope I am being a good husband to her."

The last part of the letter is what really hits home for anyone who's experienced the loss of a loved one:
"I wish you could be here to see them. I know you're looking down from Heaven all the time. I miss you like crazy and I hope you are having a good time up there. There's so many things I want to ask you and so many things I want to tell you. . . But I guess it will have to wait. Love you mom."

Compassion For Each Other
While we have assurance that we will see our loved ones again in Heaven, it doesn't mean their absence here on earth isn't painful. Any heart that is grieving (or has grieved) can related to the simple vulnerability expressed in this letter. And it serves as an incredible reminder that we are all one body of Christ.
"So that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." 1 Corinthians 12:25-27
